Tar Heels on Tap Summer Series
There are still two more stops for our upcoming Tar Heels on Tap event! Join us in Wilmington on June 18 and Rocky Mount on June 20 for an evening full of fun with fellow Rams Club members, staff and Tar Heel fans in spots around the state – including giveaway items for the first 50 in attendance, complimentary first drink and more! Anyone that dons Carolina blue is welcome.

Scouting Report
Parker Wolfe Crowned 5,000-meter National Champion
Wolfe claimed the men’s 5,000-meter championship at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. The 2023-2024 Cross Country and Track & Field seasons saw Wolfe win five ACC championships – going undefeated – leading the Tar Heels to two team ACC championships, individually set four new school records, earned four first-team All-America honors and capped it all off with a national championship..

- Baseball is Omaha Bound. The Tar Heels are set to face UVA on Friday, June 14 at 2 p.m. on ESPN. For a deep dive into the history of Carolina at the College World Series, check out Lucas: Back Home.
- Carolina Athletics’ Academic Progress Rates (APRs) increased for the third year in a row, with Football leading the ACC.
- Swimming & Diving added two new coaching postions, with Juan Estevez joining as an assistant Diving coach, and Kirk Kumbier’s promotion to associate head coach.
- Former Carolina athletic director Dr. Homer Rice passed away at 97.
- More than two dozen Men’s and Women’s Soccer alumni competed in TST 2024.
Tar Heel Honors
Several Tar Heels have been recognized with honors, awards and achievements, including:
- Women’s Tennis finished the 2023-24 season with eight ITA All-America honors and seven individual All-ACC honors.
- Three Men’s Golf student-athletes earned All-America recognition.
- Baseball’s Luke Stevenson was named Second Team Freshman All-America by the NCBWA.
- Fiona Crawley and Elizabeth Scotty of Women’s Tennis named to the CSC Academic All-America team.
- Eleven Rowing student-athletes were honored as CRCA Scholar-Athletes.
- Baseball’s Vance Honeycutt was named CSC Academic All-District.
- Softball assistant coach Maddie Holub was inducted into the MIAA Hall Of Fame.
