Sue Walsh knows about excellence. One of the greatest swimmers in Carolina (and collegiate) history, she not only excelled in the pool, but also in the classroom and then in her role as Associate Executive Director with the Rams Club.

She ultimately shared her legacy through her work with The Rams Club, where she started in 1989. Her goal was to ensure that generations of Tar Heels had opportunities for excellence, and she did just that. Prior to her retirement in 2020, Walsh became the architect of FORevHER Tar Heels, an initiative to support and champion Carolina Women’s Athletics.

A champion in competition, in the classroom and for student-athletes everywhere, Walsh left a lasting impression that will continue for decades to come.
