Summer Undergraduate Development Intern
SUMMARY
The Rams Club seeks Student Workers to help with day-to-day operations for the organization. You will primarily work with the Annual Fund team and assist the Member Services team on Occasion. Anticipated start date for Summer 2025 (June).
REQUIREMENTS
NECESSARY SKILLS:
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of database systems such as Paciolan and other database management systems.
- Positive attitude and willingness to go above prescribed responsibilities.
- Ability to interact, write, speak and communicate clearly with our donors and constituents, while portraying a professional image and demeanor.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work tasks.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
- Anticipated 10-12 hours per week; including extended hours for events.
- Must be able to drive.
- Ability to see, hear, speak, maintain cognitive function at a high level and move about the office, along with ability to lift 20 pounds.
- Ability to attend athletic events in varying environments including inclement weather.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Current Undergraduate student. Sport Administration or Business Majors preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist the Annual Fund team with setting up and renewing scheduled payments from Donors.
- Outreach to donors regarding Annual Gifts (membership dues, payments, etc.).
- Assist the Assistant Director of Annual Giving with New Student Orientation (22 summer events) + tabling for programs around campus.
- Assist the Assistant Director of Annual Giving with Student Ram and Kids Club/Junior Rams Club birthday parties, events and management.
- Assist the Annual Fund team in database management for donors (merging accounts, updating contact information, helping with tickets, etc.).
- Assist the Member Services team with fielding incoming calls.
- Assist in-house membership packet fulfillment process.
- Assist Stewardship team with printing and sending gift acknowledgements.
- Develop presentation on short term research project on college athletics/area of our business.
