The Rams Club is the fundraising arm of Carolina Athletics, dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for student-athletes at the University of North Carolina. POSITION SUMMARY
Job Title: Student Worker
Department: Annual Fund & Member Services
Work Environment:
– This is an in-person position based on the campus of The University of North Carolina.
– Anticipated 10-12 hours per week; including opportunities for extended hours for events and select Football and Men’s Basketball games.
– Anticipated start date for Friday, August 21, 2026.
Job Description: The Rams Club seeks Student Workers as an integral part of the team to assist with day-to-day operations. Student workers report to the Assistant Director of Annual Giving and primarily work with the Annual Fund team and the Member Services team. The nature of the work for this position touches nearly every part of the organization for a well-rounded experience.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Educational Requirements: Current Undergraduate student. Sports Administration or Business Majors preferred.
- Previous experience in college athletics, development and/or higher education preferred but not required.
NECESSARY SKILLS:
- Positive attitude and willingness to go above prescribed responsibilities.
- Ability to build productive relationships by earning trust of a broad range of constituents and confidence of donors and broad range of constituents.
- Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of database and management systems. Preferred experience with our current platforms: Microsoft Office Suites, Paciolan, Asana, EverTrue, Blackbaud.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work tasks.
- Ability to interact, write, speak and communicate clearly with our donors and constituents.
- Maintain confidentiality of donor information while portraying a professional image and demeanor.
- Self-motivated and disciplined time management skills with the ability to prioritize work tasks.
- Willingness to work evening, weekend, and holidays as necessary.
- Ability to see, hear, speak, maintain cognitive function at a high level and move around the office, along with ability to lift 20 pounds.
- Ability to attend athletic events in varying environments including inclement weather.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work select Football and Men’s Basketball games.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to travel occasionally. Evening, weekend, and holiday work required.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Ability to see, hear, speak, maintain cognitive function at a high level and move about the office, along with ability to lift 20 pounds.
- Ability to attend athletic events in varying environments including inclement weather.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
RESULTS:
- Outreach to donors regarding Annual Gifts (membership dues, payments, etc.).
- Assist the Annual Fund and Member Services team with gameday operations for select Football and Men’s Basketball games.
- Assist the Assistant Director of Annual Giving with Student Rams Club tabling activations, Student Ram Advisory Board meetings, and Student Rams Club annual events.
- Assist the Assistant Director of Annual Giving with Kids Club/Junior Rams Club birthday parties, Kids Club Day events and management.
- Assist the Assistant Director of Annual Giving with executing the Kids Club membership table during sporting events.
- Assist the Assistant Director of Annual Giving with executing member birthday cards and renewal letter distribution.
- Assist the Annual Fund team with Annual Fund balance outreach for End of Calendar Year.
- Assist the Annual Fund team in database management for donors (merging accounts, updating contact information, helping with tickets, etc.).
- Assist the Member Services team with fielding incoming calls.
- Assist Member Services team with returned mail.
- Assist Stewardship team with printing and sending gift acknowledgments.
- Assist the Stewardship team with Signature Member Events (registration, staffing, followup execution).
- Develop presentation on short term research project on college athletics/a specific area of our business
