Emily Stevens

Position:

Major Gifts Director

Phone: 919-923-2246

Emily's work centers on building trusted, lasting relationships with Rams Club donors — connections that inspire major gifts and create transformational opportunities for Carolina student-athletes, all in the service of Tar Heel victories for us all.

A 1996 UNC graduate, Emily earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education with a double major in Physical Education and Communication Studies. As an undergraduate, she gained hands-on experience across Carolina Athletics, working with the Carolina Annual Fund Phonathon, the Carolina Football Office under Coach Mack Brown, the North Carolina High School Athletic Association alongside the late Charlie Adams, and as an intern with The Rams Club.

She went on to earn a Master of Sports Administration from Ohio University in 1997. From there, her career took her across the country: an internship with the National Association of Athletics Development Directors (NAADD) through NACDA in Cleveland, Ohio; a role as marketing manager at Host Communications, Inc. in Dallas, Texas; and eventually back home to Chapel Hill as an account executive with Learfield at Tar Heel Sports Properties.

Emily has been a member of The Rams Club since 2001 and has held key fundraising roles across the Carolina campus, including with the Office of University Development, the Arts & Sciences Foundation, the UNC Health Foundation, and — since 2019 — The Rams Club itself.

Born in Norfolk, Va., and raised in Smithfield, N.C., Emily now calls Chapel Hill home. When she's not cheering on the Heels, you'll likely find her on her yoga mat. Namaste!
