Emily’s primary responsibilities include the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts for scholarships, capital projects and sport endowments.

Emily graduated from UNC in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, double-major in Physical Education and Communication Studies. While an undergrad, Emily worked at the Phonathon, the Carolina Football Office with Coach Mack Brown, the North Carolina High School Athletic Association with the late great Charlie Adams and as intern in The Rams Club.

Emily received a Master of Sports Administration from Ohio University in 1997. After graduate school, she interned at the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) with the National Association of Athletics Development Directors (NAADD) in Cleveland, Ohio, then worked as marketing manager at Host Communications, Inc. in Dallas, Texas, before returning to Chapel Hill as an account executive with Learfield at Tar Heel Sports Properties.

Since 2001, Emily has served in key Carolina fundraising roles across campus in the Office of University Development Office, the Arts & Sciences Foundation, the UNC Health Foundation and The Rams Club (2019).

Emily was born in Norfolk, Va., Tar Heel bred in Smithfield, N.C., and resides in Chapel Hill.
