Finley Golf Club Phase 2 Updates

October 17, 2025

Carolina Golf is teed up for something exciting! After welcoming a new course layout in October 2023, construction has begun on a new building for both teams. Your generous support has been instrumental in creating a facility fit for champions, and we thank you! To date, Rams Club supporters have contributed $10.1 million – 73% of the fundraising goal!

Over the course of the next year, as the new home of Carolina Golf goes from a vision to a reality, we are excited to share its progress. Crews broke ground in September 2025, and the building is expected to open in August 2026.

As this phase begins, Women’s Golf Head Coach Aimee Neff expressed her gratitude for the building she sees as a benefit for current student-athletes, as well as a crucial feature to the future of Carolina Golf.

“I’m thrilled to see the new home of Carolina Golf start to take shape,” Neff said. “We feel the support from the Carolina Family, and we are thankful for the generosity poured into our programs. It’s a game changer to have this space for our student-athletes. Not only will it impact our current team, but it will be an incredible home to show recruits. It shows the commitment that UNC has for our programs.”

Key updates on the project expected between September and December include:

  • Construction site preparation
  • Demolition and grading of the building site
  • New road and parking lot preparation
  • Foundation poured

“We’re excited to see ground broken for the new team building, and we’re grateful for the generous support that made this possible,” Men’s Golf Head Coach Andrew DiBitetto said. “The state-of-the-art facility is another significant step for Carolina Golf and enhances the resources we can offer to our current, future, and even former players. It will have a tremendous impact on our student-athletes’ experience and development. It’s truly a space for champions, and we look forward to watching the construction progress.”
