Eric Montross
Major Gift Director


Eric's primary responsibilities as a Major Gift Director include the solicitation and cultivation of major gifts. He also works extensively with men’s basketball fundraising efforts.

He also provides color commentary for the UNC Basketball radio broadcast, working alongside Jones Angell.

Eric was a 4-year scholarship student-athlete on the UNC Basketball team from 1990-1994. During his time at Carolina, Eric played in two Final Fours and won the 1993 NCAA National Championship. He was drafted ninth overall in the 1993 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics and spent 10 years as a player in the NBA.

In addition to his work with The Rams Club he also founded the Eric Montross Father’s Day Basketball Camp benefitting the North Carolina Children’s Hospital. He currently serves on the boards of Super Cooper’s Little Red Wagon Foundation, Be Loud! Sophie Foundation, and Vaccine Ambassadors.

A native of Indianapolis, IN, Eric and his wife Laura currently live in Chapel Hill.
